Group Therapy

Group therapy at MindMatters offers a dynamic environment of shared experiences to explore personal challenges alongside others facing similar issues, with the supervision and tools provided by expert professionals.

These sessions foster a sense of community and belonging, where participants gain different perspectives and coping strategies, enhancing personal growth and resilience in a collaborative and learning-oriented setting.

The Process:

  1. Orientation: We will outline the goals, expectations, and the basis to establish a safe and supportive environment.
  2. Psychoeducation: We will offer insights into psychological principles relevant to the group’s focus, such as emotional regulation, self-demandingness and perfectionism, time optimization, stress management, mindfulness techniques, social skills training, and different information for specific challenges.
  3. Group Sharing: Open discussions where participants can share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings related to the group’s theme or topic, fostering mutual understanding and validation from people that are facing similar experiences.
  4. Practical exercises: You will engage in structured activities and exercises designed to promote self-awareness,  and skill-building within the group.
  5. Processing: We will reflect on group interactions and themes that emerge during our sessions and activities, encouraging deeper exploration and insight into individual and collective experiences.
  6. Skill Building: We will be able to practice new skills or perspectives learned in the group setting, to be able to apply them both within the sessions and in our daily lives. Tasks will be assigned to reinforce learning between sessions.
  7. Feedback and Closure: If you wish we will provide feedback and reflections on participants’ contributions and progress throughout the group process, providing a summary of key insights and goals for future growth.
